The StudentSaver is a free national student discount card offering student specials at over 500 businesses across the GTA. It is free for all York students because of our membership in the Canadian Federation of Students. With discounts from coast to coast, the StudentSaver saves you money on everyday purchases like books, clothing, food and entertainment. Find your free card at the back of the YFS Handbook.

Members simply take their card to any of the participating businesses to receive discounts ranging from 10% to 50% off purchased goods and services. In addition to discounts, the card acts as a Federation membership card. Unlike the ISIC, the StudentSaver Card is available to part-time students.

The International Student Identity Card is the only internationally recognized student card!  It is an accepted student discount card in over 70 countries other than Canada. The ISIC is free for all members of the YFS and is a service offered through membership in the Canadian Federation of Students.

In Canada, the ISIC provides many benefits including:

Discounts on domestic air travel purchased through TravelCUTS

• 25% discount on Greyhound bus travel
• Discounts on cellular phones and phone plans through StudentPhones

If travelling abroad, the ISIC provides access to discounts on accommodation, admission to historic sites, museums and entertainment venues.
