Accessing post-secondary education is harder now more than ever. With the rising cost of tuition, housing, food, and transportation, students are struggling to survive.

Students in Ontario pay some of the highest tuition fees in the entire country.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

Students deserve better and we have the collective power to demand free and accessible education for all.

On November 8th, we remain united with students across the country on the following demands:

  1. Free education for all
  2. Grants not loans
  3. Education justice

Did you know?

Are you worried about missing classes or being penalized for attending the National Day of Action for Free Education? Not to worry, your student union has you covered!

On November 8th, York University students will be granted academic amnesty if they choose to participate in the Day of Action, as passed at the Senate.

What this means:
  • Instructors to provide reasonable extensions of deadlines for graded work due on November 8th
  • Students should receive alternative access to materials covered during November 8th
Reach out to your professors & instructors if you haven’t heard about your accommodations yet!
